Another One! Jalie 3461 Eleonore Pull-on Jeans

It’s not too often that I make 3 versions of the same pattern, one right after another!  But this pattern has me hooked.  A burgundy stretch twill called my name.

onI detailed my changes this time, and here’s what I changed.

Added January 2020, buy this pattern from Amazon.ca by clicking here.

added to riseI added 1 1/2 inches to the rise.  Note that the increase is about 2 inches below the waist.  No pic, but I did the front, too.enlarged pocket

I made the pocket larger on this pair too.  The original is on top of the new pattern piece.  The proportions look better on my backside.

elasticI cut the back elastic 2 inches shorter than the pattern piece and the front elastic 1 inch shorter.

waistband pinned

No change here, but this is the waistband pinned to the jeans, before serging it all together.

waistband attachedAn inside shot after serging the waistband to the jeans.  Notice there are no front yoke pieces?  I ran out of fabric.  They were fake anyway.

front detailsAll my topstitching was done with Sulky 12 weight cotton thread in black with a twin needle.  Stitch length of 4mm.

Schmetz 6.0 100A size 60/100 twin needle was used for the top-stitching.  I wound some of the thread onto a bobbin and used that for the second needle.  Regular thread in the bobbin.

hem detail

The hem and the inseam, twin needle top-stitched.

IMG_3979Here’s the back view.  The fabric looks pink here, but it really is a deep burgundy wine colour.  Really comfy to wear, and I’m really loving this pattern.  Capris in white are next in line.
