Leggings for Barbie, a Free Pattern

navy leggings

Every well dressed Barbie needs leggings, and the more the merrier.  If you cut out a few pairs of these in colours that are “family” you could sew them without changing your thread colours.  Just saying.

This pattern has been designed for a 4-way stretch, in other words, it stretches in all directions.  These fabrics can be a bit challenging, and I have included some sewing tips on my pattern sheet.  Download it at the bottom of this page.

Are you making any of these?   I’d love to see your creations, just email them to me at yvettechilcott(at)yahoo(dot)ca

here’s the link to the pattern:

  1. It’s red bold lower case letters underlined with black. I can’t open it with Adobe if it doesn’t download. Can you ask some of your friends and relatives if they can try from there electronic devices and let us know? Thanks.

    • Insert narrow elastic. Here’s
how I do it; I use a large
      blunt darning needle to
      thread a piece of elastic
through, then pin or sew the
tail end down firmly. Then I
stretch the elastic to it’s fullest while keeping the waist
area flat. Pin or sew the
other end of the elastic to the waist before cutting

  2. Really cool. I used my old jeans to make my Barbie girl some new pants and she is looking gorgeous. I’ll make some more soon.

  3. Thank you! They fit perfectly on the new model Barbie. I’ve been sewing with older patterns and what frustration!
