5th Annual Sewing Bee

Patternreview.com is hosting their 5th Annual Sewing Bee

Have you heard about it? The 5th Annual Sewing Bee hosted at Patternreview.com?

I’m very “goal-driven”, “goal-inspired”, “deadline-loving”……..I think you get the drift. I’m a member of patternreview.com and I love their contests. I don’t enter them all, but this one called my name.

Round 1: Sew a Knit Cardigan inspired by the color of the year – Living Coral

The dates for Round 1: January 11th at 9:00 AM Eastern Time through January 19th at midnight. Sew, I have until midnight next Saturday to create a cardigan that “fits the bill”. I have a pattern chosen, and my fabric is prewashed and ready.

The winner will be announced on January 23rd.

There will be approximately 50-60 people who advance to round 2, based on their entry into round 1. The judging will be based on adherence to the rules, sewing quality, fit, creativity, review write-up, and overall impression. Since the photographs attached to the review are the only representation of the entry, it is recommended that they be as clear and informative as possible.

As soon as I have my current project; Jalie 2679, Softshell Jacket completed, I’ll begin. The jacket is part of a blog tour called “Basically Jalie” that I’m participating in, more on that in another post.

I’ll keep you posted, in the loop, sew you can follow along. Are you joining in the fun?

  1. Yvette, love your pattern selection! You are such a talented sewer!! I know the finished product will be fabulous!! This is certainly a challenge and never doubt that you are not up to it!! Positive thinking all the way!! Sew on dear sewing sista!!

  2. I was looking forward to the sewing bee on PR but this one just doesn’t call my name! Good luck to you, though. I’m sure you’ll do well

  3. thank you Anne! I sat on the fence for a bit, as I have a lot of prior sewing commitments, and my hubby is talking “vacation”. Then I found a perfect piece of fabric in my stash, coral coloured, knit, textured like water ripples, that’s it, I’m in, lol.
