Named Galaxie3, Travel Accessories, it was just what I needed! And I didn’t realize that until I saw the pre-release photos!

Here’s Jalie’s description from their website:

Make your own travel essentials with the Galaxie3 pattern. Practical pieces to keep everything organized.

SUPERNOVA TOTES

A smart and stylish packable multi-purpose carryall with plenty of pockets!
Available in two sizes: small (purse) and large (weekender/beach bag)
Designed for lightweight material you can easily fold or roll it for convenient storage. Bring it in your luggage for day trips, beach days, gym session or shopping sprees once you arrive at your destination.
The large version is the perfect carry-on, roomy enough to hold everything you need for a weekend trip and it fits effortlessly under an airline seat or in the overhead compartment when full. One of the outside pocket doubles as a luggage sleeve that slides over a suitcase handle.
Plenty of zippered and secret pockets inside and outside to keep your essentials within reach, optional key leach, two more zippered pockets inside to keep.
Organizational lining pockets to keep items from moving inside the bag (tablet, bottles, etc).
Optional key leash and loop so you can quickly find your keys.

My Take:

I sewed the large version using nylon from my stash and a bunch of orange and yellow zippers, all well aged, lol.  I had a bit of trouble with skipped stitches on this closely woven nylon until I inserted a Microtex size 90/14 needle.  The design is genius, with lots of pockets both inside and out.  It went together well and has been approved by one of my feline inspectors. I’ll use this bag often as a “carry-on”.

ECLIPSE PURSE ORGANIZER

Do you keep misplacing items when switching from one purse to the other? Need a solution to transfer everything quickly from the purse to your car, diaper bag or gym bag? This organizer is for you!
A place for everything everything in its place. With its 8 outer pockets, 1 zipper pouch and multiple compartments, there is room for all those small items you need to have with you at all times.
You can also use it to store your sewing accessories! Going to a sewing retreat or class? Bring your organizer!
Available in two sizes to fit in regular purses and larger tote bags.

My Take:

I’m not a purse kinda gal, so chose to sew mine from a piece of denim left over from a pair of Eleonore jeans.  It was a bit thick to sew through in spots, but slow and steady over the humps and all was well.  I’ll use my new organizer to carry sewing supplies back and forth to classes.

JET TRAVEL POUCH / PASSPORT HOLDER

Designed to hold a passport, boarding pass and card/money securely, this little pouch makes a great travel purse.
Lightweight, you can wear it over or under your clothes.

My Take:

Perfect for my travels, and between trips it will make a great little “close to the body” purse for my phone, keys and cash when I’m away teaching.

My Tips:

This Galaxie3 Travel Accessories pattern is so useful in my busy life.  I’ve sewn garments most of my life and instinctively know how parts go together.  Not so with these bags, which consist mostly of rectangular pieces.  Be sure to mark ALL the notches before you remove the pattern pieces, which I found helpful to leave pinned to the cut fabric until I was ready to sew them.

  2. The fabric recommended for the Jet is lightweight nylon. I would like to use quilter’s cotton from my stash. What did you use for your Jet?
