Classes in my Home, Sewing, Quilting and Serging

Way back in the 1980’s I taught classes in my home, sewing, quilting, and machine knitting.  It wasn’t unusual for my children to come home off the school bus to find a room full of “aunties”.  Then I went “store-front”, moved it a few times, changed the focus, thrived, sold, and moved on. I’ve now come full circle, teaching classes in my home again.

I have a few more tables to set up, as well as an ironing station and a cutting table.  There will be space for 6 (and there is room for 6 cars in our driveway.)  It’s in my basement, and there is a full bathroom on the same floor.

Note: we share our home with 3 cats.

The Sort of Classes I’ll Teach

Hands-on classes in sewing, serging, and (if there’s enough interest), machine embroidery.  When I owned my store, it thrived because of our classes, and people are still looking back on them fondly.   I LOVE to teach, read more here.

These classes will not be the same as the ones I teach locally.

My first class here will be Quilted Bootie Slippers, Friday December 8th from 10-3 pm.  Cost is $30 which will include the pattern for the size of your choice.  My personally drafted full pattern range in women’s adult sizes is available as a printable PDF download for an additional $10.

Bring your lunch and a spill-proof bevie container.  Tea and coffee as well as bottled water will be available.

A full supply list will be sent by email upon registration/payment and a printed set of instructions will be given the day of the class.  Email me at yvettechilcott@yahoo.ca with questions and/or to register and etransfer your payment to the same address.
